![]() Thursday the 24th - Road-trip time! Happy thanksgiving! 5 hours to Oxford Mississippi for the egg bowl. Use this time to prep your body for later this week. Should be able to do a lot of sight seeing. Atlanta is really fun during holiday weeks because everyone goes out of town. Maybe you have to leave a little early but it’s possible. So wake up at 8, 3 hours to Columbia, 2 hours to Clemson. Definitely gonna need a DD to get you to Clemson from Columbia. It’s gonna depend on time, but if UT vs SC is a noon game you could potentially do a 2fer. If you really want to get the most football in Columbus is 2 hours further. You are gonna be drinking all day this is a marathon. Get a boberry biscuit to build a carb base. Likely a later game, but get there for the tailgate. Get up and fight off that hangover/jet lag. Can’t recommend northside tavern or Twain’s enough. You can really get anything though from Mexican to Vietnamese. First time in the south? Mary Macs, Revival, or Busy Bee for southern food. Make a killer playlist, you are gonna be spending a lot of time in your car.įriday the 18th - that flight is tough. I’m also assuming you pretty much only want to watch college football and tailgate. I’m assuming you are flying into and out of Atlanta and renting a car. Ok so for a mix of quantity and quality, here is what you want to do. The Iron Bowl is insanely important to Alabama, AND relevant nationally I guess the point that i'm making is, the Palmetto Bowl is insanely important to the state of South Carolina. Because the Iron Bowl just has juju hex shit going on non stop. ![]() But, you're not going to win as much cred at a bar as saying something like "I saw a Saban team wax the ever living fuck out of Auburn live at Bryant-Denny"Īnd if you get lucky, it'll be a game. Our rivalry is wildly underrated nationally, and the hate is fuckin' real. By all accounts, the Palmetto Bowl is the most important sporting event in South Carolina every year, but it doesn't have that national acclaim like the Iron Bowl has, and it certainly won't be as recognizable to people in Europe. It's just hard to say you should prioritize the game to a complete outsider over such an iconic CFB game like the Iron Bowl. So if you have to sacrifice other games to make Auburn Alabama happen as a person with no skin in the game other than wanting a good atmosphere and a heated rivalry, just stick with USC Clemson.Ĭlemson has a great stadium, the game will be bumpin', and it will be a hell of a time. The fact that it's Auburn is just icing on the cake.īut with that said, the Auburn Alabama game isn't 3x better than South Carolina at Clemson, but the tickets are probably 3x the price. ![]() Reddit Rules/FAQ Announcements Filter Twitter Social Media Poll/Pick 'Em Team Guide Awards Merchandise Amazon Referrals Select Flair Submit Game Threadįor an out of country individual, i'd probably say you should prioritize seeing a Saban team, in Bryant-Denny, in person.
